Laser cutting machine cutting metal sheet not only has high cutting precision, but also has a smooth cross section and no burr. Whether it is cutting thick plate or thin plate, it can achieve good results. However, these effects are irrelevant to the focus control of laser cutting machine.

So, what is focus control? Those who are familiar with the laser cutting machine know that when cutting laser cutting machine with different materials and different thicknesses, in order to achieve good cutting effect, the focus of the laser beam will be set in different places (as shown in the figure), which is called our company. In laser cutting applications, the main way of focusing is to rely on manual to complete. Nowadays, with the development of laser technology, this manual focusing method has been gradually eliminated, and the auto-focusing function has begun to be realized slowly. The laser cutting machine of the peak laser can be equipped with fully automatic focusing function. Then, some people will say that the light path is integrated in the cutting head. Is it possible to achieve the focusing function by changing the height of the cutting head? The cutting head is raised, the focus position is high, the cutting head is lowered, and the focus position is low. However, it turns out that it is not as simple as everyone thinks.

The bottom of the cutting head is a nozzle. During the cutting process, the distance between the nozzle and the workpiece (nozzle height) is about 0.5 to 1.5 mm. It may be regarded as a fixed value, that is, the nozzle height is constant, so it cannot be adjusted by lifting the cutting head. Coke (otherwise it is impossible to complete the cutting process).

The focal length of the focusing mirror is immutable, so it cannot be expected to focus by changing the focal length. If the position of the focusing mirror is changed, the focus position can be changed: when the focusing mirror is lowered, the focus is lowered, and the focusing mirror is raised, and the focus is raised. - This is indeed a way of focusing. Automatic focusing can be achieved by using a motor-driven focusing mirror for up and down motion.

Another method of auto-focusing is to set a variable curvature mirror (or adjustable mirror) before the beam enters the focusing mirror, and change the divergence angle of the reflected beam by changing the curvature of the mirror to change the focus position. As shown below.

With the auto focus function, the machine can automatically adjust the focus to a suitable position at high speed when machining workpieces of different materials and thicknesses. This can significantly improve the processing efficiency of the laser cutting machine, and the slab perforation time will be greatly reduced.

Therefore, for the laser cutting machine, the auto focus function is an important and indispensable function.
